Minister of labor and social security on 2011 budget

The draft 2011 budget is based on an "optimistic forecast," Maryyana Shchotkina, minister of labor and social security, told reporters in Minsk on September 7, BelaPAN reports.

"We have submitted to the parliament a draft law governing the budget of our Population Social Security Fund. This is very important as the draft budgetary estimates have been drawn up and every retiree is concerned about whether it includes the money for retirement benefits, how they will be paid," the minister said.

She noted that the budget provided for an increase in monthly allowances paid to families with under three-year-old children. "Give birth to and raise children, all benefits for you have been provided for by the budget and will be secured in full," she said.
