Prime Minister Sidorski to take part in Belarus Investment Forum to be held in Frankfurt on November 17

Prime Minister Syarhey Sidorski will take part in the Belarus Investment Forum that will take place in Frankfurt am Main on November 17 within the framework of the 13th Euro Finance Week, Deputy Economy Minister Andrey Tur told reporters in Minsk on Friday, BelaPAN reports.

“The forum is very important for increasing interest in the investment climate that exists in Belarus,” Mr. Tur said.

According to him, the forum will feature speeches by representatives of international financial institutions and banks.

The forum will include two plenary meetings on the themes of “Why it is Profitable to Invest in the Economy of the Republic of Belarus” and “How to Invest in the Republic of Belarus,” and four separate discussions on banking, innovation, logistics, and the customs union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, Mr. Tur said.

According to him, the forum will focus on investment projects in the energy sphere. Such projects are of crucial importance for Belarus, as they would help ensure its energy and economic security, he said, adding that energy projects, including those aimed at increasing the efficiency of crude oil processing in the country, would make it possible to secure an export surplus and solve a number of serious economic problems.
