Campaign headquarters for Belarusian Christian Democracy's presidential nominee said to have been established in 32 cities
Campaign headquarters have reportedly been established in 32 Belarusian cities for Vital Rymashewski, co-chairman of Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) who plans to run in the forthcoming presidential election.
During his tour of the provinces, which lasted between July 24 and August 31, Mr. Rymashewski visited more than 30 cities, BCD Co-chairman Paval Sevyarynets told BelaPAN. In every city, Mr. Rymashewski met with local BCD activists and took part in leadership workshops.
Campaign headquarters have been established for him in Vitsyebsk, Polatsk, Navapolatsk, Orsha, Kokhanava, Sharkawshchyna, Dokshytsy, Myory, Pastavy, Lepel, Hlybokaye, Mahilyow, Babruysk, Asipovichy, Klichaw, Horki, Homyel, Kalinkavichy, Mazyr, Svetlahorsk, Buda-Kashalyova, Rechytsa, Brest, Baranavichy, Kobryn, Hrodna, Lida, Svislach, Masty, Vawkavysk, Slonim and Minsk.
Mr. Rymashewski's campaign headquarters are expected to be established in at least 20 more cities before the start of the presidential race, Mr. Sevyarynets said.
Belarusian Christian Democracy plans to hold a new founding conference in Minsk on September 12. Participants at the new conference are expected to discuss the party's election strategy and make a final decision regarding the participation of the party’s nominee in the presidential race.
