Belarus` deputy foreign minister calls for stronger cooperation with Ukraine
Belarus and Ukraine have a huge potential and every opportunity to increase comprehensive relations, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Yewdachenka said at a festive ceremony held in Minsk on Tuesday on the occasion of the neighboring country’s Independence Day observed on August 24, as quoted by BelaPAN.
“The good will of our countries and traditions of friendship between our peoples are guarantees of successful achievements,” the deputy minister said.
He praised cooperation between the two countries since Ukraine gained independence. The two countries have not only maintained bilateral ties but also stepped up and strengthened them,” he said.
Mr. Yewdachenka noted the "robust development" of a political dialogue, economic relations, business and person-to-person contacts between Belarus and Ukraine.
The Ukrainian ambassador in Belarus, Roman Bezsmertnyi, also hailed ties between the two countries as good neighborly and mutually beneficial relations.
