International festival of fireworks held near Minsk

An international festival of fireworks was held at the Lahoysk sports and entertainment center near Minsk on August 27 and 28, BelaPAN reports.

Taking part in Navalnitsa (lightning in English) were leading pyrotechnicians based in Estonia, Italy, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. An international jury judged their performance.

Russian rockers Bi-2 entertained the audience on the first day of the festival and Russian rock veterans Aquarium on the second one.

The first Navalnitsa festival was held at the venue last year, proving a big success. More than 30,000 people attended the three-day event at the Lahoysk center. Its winning team, Lithuania’s Blikas, later received the top prize at the European championships of the the European Fireworks Association (EUFIAS).
