Number of staff dealing with customs clearance of individuals’ goods to be increased
The State Customs Committee (SCC) is set to increase the number of staff dealing with the customs clearance of goods carried by individuals, the SCC press office said on Thursday, as quoted by BelaPAN.
The Committee expects the number of individuals crossing the border to soar following the end of the summer vacation season, the press office said.
SCC Chairman Alyaksandr Shpilewski directed that the number of shifts that the personnel of the country`s main border-crossing points work be increased by 20 percent between August 20 and September 15.
The SCC has urged its colleagues in neighboring countries to take similar measures.
