World U-23 Rowing Championships draws to close in Brest
The 2010 World Under-23 Rowing Championships took place in Brest between July 21 and 25, BelaPAN reports.
Speaking to reporters on the final day of the tournament, Denis Oswald, president of the International Rowing Federation, expressed a high opinion of the level of the event's organization and said that many teams would be happy to travel back to Belarus for more competitions.
The event featured a record high 894 athletes from 58 countries.
Belarus plans to bid for the right to host the 2015 World Rowing Championships.
