Man in Brest turns to his fence to voice criticism of authorities
A man in Brest has chosen an unusual way to voice criticism of the country’s current government by making his house a local attraction, BelaPAN reports.
Mikhail covered the two-meter fence around his house in the southwestern city with political slogans, thoughts about the authorities’ policies, Belarusian people and corruption, and copies of his appeal to President Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
The entrance also features a letter signed by the Brest Regional Psychoneurological Center. It reads that Mikhail is not on list of the center`s patients but has a chronic mental disease.
Neighbors seem to disapprove the critic. Many of them say that they support the policemen who have recently attempted to clean the fence.
Mikhail does not answer phone calls. He is also reluctant to talk to reporters.
Interestingly, the houses of Pyotr Prakapovich, head of the National Bank of Belarus, and of Kanstantsin Sumar, chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, are located not far from the conspicuous fence.
