A group of 13 journalists from the European Union's countries will arrive in Belarus on Wednesday evening on a visit that will last until July 24, BelaPAN reports.
The visit is aimed at informing EU citizens with specific projects that are being carried out in Belarus within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy, the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus says in a statement.
While in Belarus, the journalists will examine the EU's relations with Belarus as well as its political and economic dynamics through meetings, briefings and field visits, the statement says, adding that participating reporters will be briefed by a "wide range of sources," including Belarusian officials, diplomats, local authorities, civil society organizations, independent experts and media representatives.
The visit was organized in partnership with the European Journalism Center, the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus and the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
The group includes journalists of Austria, Britain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal and Romania.
