Eurovision veterans perform in Vitsyebsk

A Eurovision Song Contest themed concert took place within the framework of Slavyanski Bazar in Vitsyebsk that kicked off in the northern Belarusian city at the end of last week, BelaPAN reports.

The city’s Victory Square hosted the show in which former Eurovision finalists performed. Among them were Eva Rivas of Armenia, Chanee and Tomas N`evergreen of Denmark, Zeljko Joksimovic of Serbia, the Turkish band MaNga, Paula Seling and Ovi of Romania, Harel Skaat of Israel and the Russian band Premyer Minister.

There were many people around the mobile stage that was brought from Babruysk, Mahilyow region, on five trucks. But despite the organizers’ expectations, only 20,000 tickets, priced at 15,000 rubels ($5), were sold for the venue capable of accommodating up to 200,000 people.
