Lukashenka wants Belarusian companies to build dairy, meat-packing plants in Venezuela

Belarusian companies could build dairy and meat-packing plants in Venezuela, Alyaksandr Lukashenka told Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez while the two were inspecting the construction of residential buildings by Belarusian companies in the city of Maracay on Tuesday.

The Belarusian leader's press office said that the Venezuelan president had accepted the proposal immediately and the governor of Maracay and the head of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee had been given appropriate instructions.

Messrs. Chavez and Lukashenka laid a memorial stone at the construction site and examined building designs, as well as spoke to local residents and Belarusian and Venezuelan builders. //BelaPAN
