United Civic Party decides against fielding candidates for soviets in Brest region
The United Civic Party will not field any candidates for soviets in the Brest region in April's local elections, Mikalay Kowsh, leader of the opposition party's regional chapter, told BelaPAN.
He said that the decision had been made by the leaderships of the party's Brest regional and city chapters at a meeting on March 11.
The politician linked the decision to the party's poor representation on precinct election commissions in the region.
