Belarusian State University admitted to European University Association

Belarusian State University (BHU) has been admitted to the European University Association that represents and supports more than 750 institutions of higher education.

The membership will allow the leading Belarusian university to take part in European conferences, projects and research work aimed at developing higher education, as well as in skills development workshops and programs for academic staffs, said the BHU press office.

The membership will open up opportunities for exchanging experience with leading experts and studying the latest higher education trends, the press office noted.

The European University Association provides its members — European universities involved in teaching and research, national associations of rectors and other organizations active in higher education and research — with a forum for cooperation and exchange of information on higher education and research policies.

The Association was set up as a result of a merger between the Association of European Universities and the Confederation of European Union Rectors' Conferences in 2001. //BelaPAN
