Alyaksandr Lukashenka directed at Thursday’s government conference on measures against corruption that Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich should submit a request before the end of the day for the dismissal of Mikalay Kupryyanaw as deputy prosecutor general and Mikhail Snyahir as prosecutor of the Minsk region.
The Belarusian leader also ordered that criminal proceedings be instituted against Messrs. Kupryyanaw and Snyahir, reported the government’s news agency BelTA.
Mr. Kupryyanaw has been serving in the position of deputy prosecutor general since July 9, 2002. Mr. Snyahir was appointed prosecutor of the Minsk region on February 26, 2008. //BelaPAN
